The Naked Gun
The Naked Gun (2025) is one of those movies that has very hit-or-miss comedy. Although you could say this stretches the definition of action movies, The Naked Gun still has enough action to be reviewed on an action-only site.
First of all, I would like to start with some positives. The movie still has the same feel as the originals: wacky comedy, a romantic storyline, and a rich, evil dude. This means that for the most part, the comedy is the same, and whether it is funny is up to you. Some of the best jokes in the movie come from this style of comedy though, a highlight being the thermal camera joke, ripped straight from the original movie, along with a bunch of other jokes.
Although some of these jokes are great, by the end of the movie, you will get bored with this style, and it seems the movie knows this, as it has a weirdly action-packed third act. This took away from the feel of the movie and was really the weak point.
Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, and all the rest of the cast do great acting as their characters in the movie, but it does not in any way save the movie. We give The Naked Gun (2025) 61%.
