Star Wars: Attack Of The Clones
When people talk about the prequels, they seem to purely talk about episodes 1 and 3, and that is for a great reason. While all of the prequels have flaws, Attack of the Clones probably has the worst and the least redeeming qualities.
It definitely has the worst dialogue out of all the prequels, especially Anakin and Padme. Their dialogue and love just feel so forced; every time I watch it, I visibly cringe. And even Dooku and Obi-Wan have some terrible lines in this movie, but I don’t blame the actors at all; the script they were given was just awful.
The plot had so much potential, two sides built respective armies in the clones and the droids, and ended with a huge battle with the Jedi, which is awesome, and why the Clone Wars show worked so well. I even liked the parts about Jango Fett and when Obi-Wan visited Kamino, and especially the entire sequence on Geonosis, but the other parts of Anakin and Padme, such as them going to Tatooine, just ruined the pacing and tone of the movie so badly, even the scene of C-3PO and R2-D2 messing around in the droid factory just pissed me off.
I wish I could put Attack of the Clones higher in the 100 Days, 100 Review challenge, but the execution doesn’t live up to the potential it had, and that was the story for most of the prequels; Episode 2 just had lower lows than the others, hence it’s getting a 41% on day 41 of the challenge.
