Obi-Wan Kenobi

I genuinely have no clue how Disney managed to fumble one of the most hyped Star Wars projects ever, with both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen returning, that’s right, I’m talking about Obi-Wan Kenobi.

It would’ve been so much better if they had made it into something similar to a Clone Wars arc, and brought back characters such as Ashoka, so we can have that trio back, but instead, for some reason, they had to bring back Leia? Firstly, let me explain how they roped in Leia for those who don’t remember. They had Reva, who was one of the Sith Inquisitors, want to gain favour with Vader, so she wanted to capture Kenobi, and somehow, someway, she figured out that the correct way to do that was to kidnap Leia so that Bail Organa would ask for help, because she, for some reason, knew that Obi-Wan and Bail knew each other, and never did anything about it before? What the hell were the writers on? The plot is genuinely so bad, it follows Obi-Wan and the young Leia running around and doing stuff that would realistically never work, like infiltrating a Sith base. However, it also appears that Reva was a former Jedi youngling and had become an Inquisitor in an attempt to kill Vader. Are you kidding me?

Other than the plot, everything else ranges from okay to pretty good. There are bad action scenes, like the infamous attempt to kidnap Leia in the forest, but also great action scenes, like the final fight between Obi-Wan and Vader/Anakin. The acting is alright, Ewan McGregor does a great job reprising his role as Obi-Wan, and all the other adult actors do great, but Leia and her actor are just not up to par with everyone else. Overall, Obi-Wan Kenobi is a show that has glimpses of greatness but struggles with a very weak plot. We give it a 46%.
