Inception

Christopher Nolan’s Inception is one of those movies that is way better on a re-watch.

The film, although having a complicated plot, as many will know, is about entering a person’s dream and planting an idea; this is called an inception. It is about a businessman, Saito, trying to convince the son of the head of a rival business to shut it down.

It follows Cobb, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and his friend Arthur, making a team with roles to design and figure out how they are going to pull off the inception. As the team builds and the preparation starts, we follow Cobb, struggling with the memory of his wife, who committed suicide, but he is blamed by the police, meaning he cannot see his kids. I’m sorry, but this is one of the best stories ever told. It’s so exciting and heartbreaking at the same time. And everybody who says it’s too confusing needs to get off their phone while watching it.

The visuals and cinematography are incredible, too. This mind-boggling twisting and mirroring of the dreams, as well as just general amazing CGI all around.

Overall, Inception is the perfect mix of plot, characters, and cinematography. Hence, we give it an 89%. Oh, and by the way, the top definitely stopped spinning.
