Grown Ups 2

A comedy that barely feels like a full movie. Directed by Dennis Dugan and starring Adam Sandler, it follows a group of friends spending a day back in their hometown, but there’s almost no real structure holding it together.

Instead of building a proper story, the film just jumps from one scene to the next, like a series of loosely connected skits. A lot of the humour leans on gross-out jokes and random gags, and while a few moments land, most of it feels repetitive pretty quickly.

The cast is stacked with comedians like Chris Rock, Kevin James, and David Spade, and you can tell they’re trying to have fun with it. But the script doesn’t give them much to work with, so a lot of scenes feel dragged out or improvised without a strong punchline.

There are brief moments where the energy works and the chemistry between the actors carries a scene, but it never lasts long. By the end, it just feels like a bunch of ideas thrown together rather than a complete film.
