Captain Marvel

Does anyone actually like Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel? One of the worst superheroes to come out of Marvel in that era. You want to know why? Because she’s the prime example of what people hate about most modern female heroes. She’s a Mary Sue. She’s shown to ‘be the best’ right from her introduction!

But moving onto her titular movie, the main problem is that the characters are awful! We’ve already talked about Carol Danvers, or Captain Marvel, but what about Nick Fury? You know one of the coolest characters in the MCU? Nope, not anymore! A joke-cracking idiot who has no clue what is going on! And guess what, his scar came from a cat! Oh sorry…a flurkin. And the twist villian, who a baby could see coming, Yon-Rogg and the Kree Empire being evil. Which we knew, because a Kree was a villian in Guardians of The Galaxy, a movie that came out five years before this! Talos is probably the only, okay at best character in this movie, because while we’re supposed to connect to him and his family, he just shows up drinking a slushy!

The plot isn’t even that great either! As I said earlier the twist wasn’t great, which just ruined the entire back half of the movie, and the front half was terrible too, because Carol Danvers and Nick Fury have less chemistry than Italians and splitting your pasta in half.

One of, if not the worst movie in Phase 3 of the MCU, hence deserving this 21% Rating on day 21 of out 100 Days, 100 Review Series.
