Minions The Rise Of Gru

Why can’t Illumination learn how to make a kids’ movie that actually resonates with parents? Minions: The Rise of Gru, and to be fair, all the other movies in the Minions and all the Despicable Me franchise seem to be the complete opposite of what they are doing at the other studios at the moment. While Sony is making Spider-Verse, DreamWorks is with Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, and Pixar with Inside Out 2. Illumination keeps on putting out mindless cash-grab slop, and I am telling you, that is not going to work forever. As these Minions-obsessed-kids get older, they will stop watching the movies, and making these movies that don’t appeal at all to adults means that the parents aren’t going to infect their kids with this annoying slop. It won’t work.

But moving on to the actual review part, Minions: Rise of Gru is just slop, and It way too fast-paced for its own good. It tries to fit in a million awful fart jokes and other terrible jokes that only appeal to 5-year-olds. If you don’t believe me, I promise you there is a kung-fu granny in this movie. I don’t know how parents can sit through this. I feel bad for them. KIDS’ MOVIES ARE FOR THE PARENTS TOO.
